My favorite knot books:
Ashley Book Of Knots The bible of all knots. If it isn't listed in here, it is probably not a knot, heh.
The Marlinspike Sailor Smith's illustrations and salty anecdotes make this book easy to use and a pleasure to read.
The Arts of the Sailor: Knotting, Splicing and Ropework There is a bit overlap with The Marlinspike Sailor above, but this version is much more portable.
