Bought a house!
Gwen and I bought a place in Mission Viejo. We're busily painting, shopping, tearing up floors, considering yard implements, packing and moving.
The neighborhood is really nice, our neighbors are friendly and there a lots of kids.
There are several fruit trees in the back yard: 2 plum, 1 nectarine, 1 apricot, 1 lemon, an unknown citrus and an apple tree. Bunnies are regularly found eating the dropped fruit. Parrots eat the apples.
Each of the children got to pick their own colors for their room. Oliver picked a bright baby blue color with white trim. He and Sammy (she turned out to be the best painter) painted his room this last weekend. Colin picked a dark blue and deep green trim (it looks like the bottom of the ocean). Colin's room is now the "underwater cave". Emi picked two bright yellowish greens, not unlike the hands of a glow in the dark clock. She hands out sunglasses to those brave enough to enter.
We have a reading room. Dark Olive with brown trim. This is where we are going all steampunk.
We bought some very cool bamboo flooring that I can't wait to put down. It's carmelized by a steam oven. It's going upstairs.
